Group Blogging = No More Pressure

I predict that within the next two years we're going to see a major growth in group blogging.

So what is group blogging anyway?

It's a blog in which more than one person can create posts. Cool, huh? Talk about an interactive approach to sharing information!

So how is a group blog different from a forum?

Well forums are generally used for people to make brief comments on a question which creates a thread of comments.

So what are the benefits of group blogging?

1. It takes the pressure off of you to write posts every day! This reason alone is enough to make it worthwhile to join a group blog!

2. It allows people a venue to communicate about one topic they all love! Haven't you always wanted a place online where you could talk with other people from all over the world about your favorite things?

Sure there are newsgroups which have offered a place for people to talk about topics. Yet newsgroups are very similar to forums in that the users basically ask a question and get feedback from other users.

3. A group blog is unique in that it allows each person to create blog posts thereby creating a collection of informative "mini-articles" making it a hub for anyone interested in a one-stop site where they can stay updated on articles on their favorite subjects.

Not only that, at blogger.com you can search the group blog postings just like you search for things in search engines like yahoo or google. That means you can find all postings related to what you seek instantly!

Blogger.com even has a feature called post labels which allow the bloggers to categorize all related blogs onto one page!

At the very bottom of a blog posting the person who wrote the blog has the option to label their post - so you can find it under a common heading. Just click on the label to see the rest of the related posts.

What's great about a group blog is the related posts may come from different people - meaning you get many "different takes" instead of just one person's perspective on a topic.

Also each blogger has the option to create hyperlinks to related blog posts directly within their own post. Cool!

At blogger.com their group blogs (they call them "team blogs") allow 100 people to join! Isn't that fabulous?

4. A group blog means you don't have to create the blog or keep it updated yourself. Swell! No set up involved - you just get to join the existing group and start blogging right away! You can sign up right now and begin sharing your own blog tips!

5. Group blogs allow for group members and the public to make comments about each blog posting! Here at CB Success we moderate the comments. That means CB Webmaster will personally review them to make sure they are "actual" comments as opposed to people just serving their own self-interests.

CB Success is also enabled with instant reaction which lets people say whether or not they liked your posting with one click.

6. Our blog has RSS feeds - a great way to stay up to date with recent blog posts in one digest. If you're a blogger.com member you can "follow" our blog - which means at the bottom of your Dashboard you can see all new posts for CB Success in short form.

7. Group blogs can provide links to useful sites on the same topic.

What more could you ask for?

P.S. At CB we even link to your personal blog - so if you already have a blog you don't have to give it up.
